The life and marriage of Paul and Angeline Oddo can be summed up from the heart of Micah 6:8: “...act justly, love mercy, walk humbly with your God.” They committed themselves to serve others and the Lord and encourage those around them to love deeply and seek godly wisdom in all they did.

Though neither graduated from college, both Paul and Angeline had hearts for Christian higher education, which aligned with Vanguard University’s mission to transform young men and women into Spirit-empowered, Christ-centered leaders who advance the Kingdom through their service and careers. Paul began his service in the 1950s as a member of the Board of Trustees of Southern California College. Angeline dedicated her time to using her gifts and talent for organization to serve where she was most needed. Paul also invested time and work resources to hand-craft and installed the intricate windows that grace Needham Chapel, demonstrating the care that Paul and Angeline always showed for Vanguard.
